Remastered video to DVD format. 1999 Symposium featuring Conrad Schumacher giving training tools for anyone starting a young dressage prospect or retraining an older horse. Mr. Schumacher has coached Olympic medalists, World and European Champions, with his students winning a total of 37 international medals. This DVD shows the important skills riders must acquire to train successfully and presents expectations of 4 - and 5-year-old horses whose foundations are being established for upper-level work. It also includes the training progression of 6-year-olds and covers topics such as developing the horses' relationship to the aids, exercises to engage the hindquarters, flying changes, half-pass, canter pirouettes, and developing collection.
